    Promenade’s upcoming workshop will demystify mulled wines.

    while hotels across Pondicherry are gearing up for their cake mixing ceremonies, Promenade has added one more incentive get people to visit them next week. Come Monday, it will be hosting its first wine workshop. Participants will learn how to prepare mulled wine, a European Christmas favourite, which features a mix of spices such as cinnamon and cloves.
    “This workshop is a result of the continuing demand by our patrons to introduce something else besides the regular wine tasting sessions. So we decided, why not show how it’s done in the first place,” says Ravi Reddy, general manager, who will supervise the workshop, along with their bar manager, Naresh Babu.
    Executive chef, Satish, informs us that they are expecting around 30 people for the cake ceremony, all of whom will be invited to attend the workshop. Reddy further shares, “Our main objective is to show participants how to prepare mulled wine at home. All you need is a bottle of dry red wine, along with honey, whole cloves, cinnamon sticks, star anise and orange slices, which you then heat over medium-low flame.” And since the hotel offers the option of taking the wine home, you can either let your folks savour your creation or save it for Christmas.
