This city-based startup helps you get smart with your finances
Money View is a mobile app that works as a personal money manager for users and helps them stay on top of their finances with zero effort.
The app uses information from SMSes sent by banks, merchants and other billers to provide a single view of the user’s finances across all banks, credit cards, loan and other financial accounts. It works automatically without any manual input from the user to auto track, monitor, and analyse their incomes and spends. “It also provides personalised alerts notifying users to undertake important financial decisions on time; for instance paying credit card or utility bill before the due date, and keep their spends within a budget,” explains co-founder Puneet Agarwal.
The app’s core focus is to make financial management simple, smart and secure. “It aims to empower users with access to secure and on-the-go finance management solutions,” he adds.
The idea to work on an application of this sort came about when Agarwal returned to India after working in the USA for close to 17 years. “At the same time, Sanjay (co-founder) was moving out of his earlier start-up stint. The idea stemmed from the basic need that everyone has to become financially fit. Also we realised India is one of the only market where regulation demands that most financial transactions are recorded in the form of an SMS sent by the banks. We decided to build a solution that works by itself by organising information that consumers receive via mobile phones,” he says. Details: moneyview.in
