Lost Stories brings their progressive sound to the city
Prayag Mehta and Rishab Joshi combine confidence and creativity to make as Lost Stories. With intense melodies and basslines, their sound is fresh yet dark and eclectic. Noticed by Armin van Buuren, signed by DJ Tiesto’s Black Hole Recordings and constantly pushing limits, Lost Stories is headed to Sanctum. We catch up with Joshi before their Saturday gig.
The gig at Sanctum
The crowd can expect plenty of new music we’ve been working on.
Your top performance spot
I’ve heard so much about Sanctum, that am really looking forward to playing there, finally. And then perhaps Euriska in Pune.
An international festival on your wish list
Fuji Rock Festival in Japan ever since I saw The Chemical Brothers perform there (on DVD) .
Your dream collaboration
A track with James Holden, Mat Zo, Porter Robinson, Boys Noize and Burial, all on the same record.
Lost Stories’ crowd pleaser
My remix of Afrojack’s The Spark.
The evolution of EDM
Dance music has never been more alive. Looking at the bigger picture, many bedroom DJs/producers who never left their bedrooms are now living their dreams, performing at the biggest festivals globally.
Biggest musical influence
The 2014 pipeline
We just finished scoring a movie. Apart from that, we have loads of cross-genre collaborations, originals and remixes coming up.
