    It’s time to grab your leotards and tutus. Ballet classes are back in Auroville, with Pitanga Cultural Centre introducing their lessons for adults.     Caribbean connect
    Well Cafe is gearing up for a Caribbean Night tomorrow. Their vegetarian dinner will have dishes like coconut curry, pineapple and papaya salsa with nachos and herb rice. They also plan to project videos and pictures to give a feel of the islands. Dinner will be followed by live performances by musicians Erika Lernot, and Siam and Suresh, who will belt out peppy Caribbean numbers. Booking recommended.

    Pondy is gearing up to host a Literary Week. Organised by the Alliance Francaise Pondicherry, the activities begin this evening with Cafe Litteraiare – A Writer in Residence, a talk by French novelist Michael Ferrier. At 7 pm, it is open to AF members. On Thursday,

    For those who love tie & dye, a workshop on the art is being held at the DakshinaChitra this Sunday. It will take you through the process of folding and twisting the fabric, binding it with string, and applying the dye. Participants will be taught the technique on duppattas.     Save the date
    Besides an exhibition of (Aurovillian) Aradhita’s needlework, Aurodhan art gallery is also releasing the book Quintessential Sutra tomorrow. A pictoral collage of The Sutra Foundation’s forays into dance under the guidance of owner Ramli Ibrahim, the launch will be followed by an interaction with Ibrahim and danseuse Anita Ratnam.
