Vimonisha returns with over 65 designers under one roof.

If you are in the mood for some festive shopping, head on to Hyatt Regency on Monday. Having completed 25 successful years of exhibitions in the city, Vimonisha—a collaboration of Vimal Shivdasani with her daughter Monisha Gidwani— is back with its latest edition. This showcase will see over 65 booths with design labels from Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Lucknow and other cities—offering the latest in pret and bridal wear. In addition to being a platform for upcoming designers, the exhibition is also hosting designers featured at Lakme Fashion Week like Sidharth Sinha and Preeti Jhawar. Talking about her weakness for retail therapy, Gidwani says, “My personal favourites are Weavers Story with Benares saris and dupattas, Nazar by Indu Abbot (Delhi) with gorgeous anarkalis and suits, Radha’s Traditions from Mumbai with beautiful hues and cuts and N&S Gaia with their fusion wear.” With a host of contests and free gifts in addition to the apparel and jewellery, this event has something for everyone.  Here’s what two first-timers have to say: Vow of style
Mumbai-based brand Kalki deems itself as a bridal specialist. Talking about what they are bringing down for the exhibition, director Nishit Gupta says that the focus this season is on contemporary Indian silhouettes. From elegant sari drapes to contemporary fusion wear, the range promises chic, modern cuts and constructions with hand-worked embroidery and surface ornamentation. The design label works with a diverse range of fabrics from silks such as tussar and Benarasi to French lace, velvets and net jacquards. (Rs 5000 onwards approximately)

    Comfort fit
From the bridal couture labels to comfort clothing, Kolkata-based Vaayu which was launched a year ago by designer Adarsh, the creative director of design label OSAA, will be showcasing its pret collection.
