    Scripting success
After the resounding success of Queen, director Reema Kagti wants on the Kangna Ranaut train. The name behind films like Talaash and Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd, has approached the actress with her next film, which has Saif Ali Khan in the lead. While reports claim that Ranaut is quite excited by the script, she has held off signing anything until she returns from New York. We really hope this works because not only will we get a fresh pairing, but we’ll finally see Khan moving away from the slapstick space.

He’s no longer the newbie in tinseltown and yet Sidharth Malhotra has been a bundle of nerves ahead of today’s release, Ek Villain. This, despite the trailer winning applause and some great fan interactions on his exhausting promotional drive. In a recent interview, he said, “I have received positive reactions from everyone who has seen the film, but I am still nervous. It’s a big release for me and I have been having sleepless nights thinking of Villaintines Day.” However, we think this break from his lover boy image will be
    good for his career.

    With the reindeers
It’s not just unique characters that director R Balki is interested in, he wants unusual locales, too. In his hunt for a scenic spot in Europe to shoot portions of his new film with Amitabh Bachchan, Shamitabh, he has zeroed in on Helsinki, in Finland. The director is quite thrilled to be shooting the first Indian film there and says the schedule will have them doing scenes in Lapland too, which is close to the capital city. The film also stars Dhanush and Kamal Haasan’s younger daughter, Akshara.

    ST-1aSocial suicide
Open letters have become handy tools for celebrities to air their emotions. After Hrithik Roshan’s letter (heaping scorn on those who claimed Krrish 3’s numbers were fudged) and Preity Zinta’s (explaining why she took action against ex-boyfriend Ness Wadia), Bipasha Basu pitched in with her few sentences. The actress, who was disappointed with how her role in last week’s Humshakals panned out, penned that she was “extremely disturbed by the end result” and so didn’t want to promote the film. However, her honesty might have cost her dear. While director Sajid Khan is upset with Basu, producer Vashu Bhagnani says he will try
his best not to work with her again.
