    Join in a world wide celebration of French gastronomy right here in our city. For just one night on March 19, chef Amit Wadhwan will create a menu at Le Jardin in tandem with 1,000 chefs worldwide to showcase the fine nuances of French cuisine. A singular event kickstarted by a committee of chefs headed by the famous Alain Ducasse, who unveiled the final list of restaurants participating in Goût de France, globally. So those signing up for the event can anticipate a splendid six-course ode to French gastronomy. Here is a peek.
    On the cards
    Begin with a cold appetiser—Tian of Bay of Bengal crab—a ring of freshly seasoned crab meat served with mango and avocado relish and saffron aioli. Then a hot starter — delicate Assam tea smoked duck breast accompanied by a star anise and orange compote. The two main courses are fish and meat based. The Cochin Bay sea bass crusted with shallots will be served with a red wine reduction. Meat lovers will enjoy a pan seared fillet of beef along with braised oxtail stew, fondant potato, asparagus, and truffle jus. Take a short break before sampling a warm Roquefort cheese along with a granny Smith apple flan, rounding off with a chocolate and caramel fondant and a hazelnut crumble chocolate sorbet. Choose from a selection of French and Indian wines intended to complement the menu, which can be purchased by the bottle or glass.
