Eco luxury label 11.11 by CellDSGN now brings their urban streetwear online
Good news for fashionist as who are looking for something organic — the eco luxury pret label 11.11, by CellDSGN, is now just a click away. The 10-year-old brand made an impact at the Lakme Fashion Week this year, for vegetable-dyed flowing skirts and an urban streetwear take on khadi textiles. Now online, the collection includes kurtis, shirts, jeans and clutches fashioned from handwoven khadi and kala cotton. The collection retails across the world, besides the flagship concept store The Grey Garden in Hauz Khas Village, New Delhi.

While Shani Himanshu (fashion design graduate) and Mia Morikawa (graphic design graduate) are the creative directors at 11.11, Smita Singh (leather design graduate) handles the finances. Morikawa explains, “11.11 dissolves the distinction between daywear and eveningwear, creating an identity which is never under or overdressed for any situation.” The website includes shirt dresses, jackets, scarves and clutches for women and shirts, jackets and scarves for men. We like their iPad sleeves and sling bags fashioned from discarded materials like plastic bags and scrapped fabrics (priced between `6,000 and `15,200).
In the last two years,11.11 has consolidated its roots in the luxury space, with an emphasis on creating links between farmers, weavers, vegetable dyeing and block printing traditions. “The brand is relevant for anyone who appreciates handmade, detail and luxury,” concludes Morikawa, promising a capsule collection, textiles for the home and a blog in the future.
