Actor Channing Tatum’s first outing in an animated feature is now on TV. Plus, what to expect from Hail, Caesar!
LAST week at the Golden Globes, actor Channing Tatum along with Jonah Hill presented the first award of the ceremony, and attempted a peculiar skit on Leonardo DiCaprio’s The Revenant.
The act may have been off target but Tatum’s next release Hail, Caesar! promises to deliver the goods. This ensemble-comedy directed by four-time Oscar winners Joel David Coen and Ethan Jesse Coen sees Tatum slide and dance on a table in the trailer. The 35-year-old, whose venture into production with the Magic Mike series is an obvious commercial success, is also ready to back and play Gambit, which is based on the X-Men series.
As a tribute
A romantic, Tatum recently drew attention with his adoring messages about his wife on Instagram. Incidentally, the actor’s Golden Globe nominated animation movie Book of Life has its television premier slated for 9 pm tomorrow on Star Movies Select HD. He lends his voice to the character Joaquin, the hero of San Angels, who passionately pursues Maria’s (Zoe Saldana) heart in the film.
We asked him if he had done something special for his sweetheart as well. “I danced with my wife for an entire three months before we actually started to date. And, we’ve been together for almost 10 years,” says the American producer.
