Run for a cause
August 21, IIT Madras
This Sunday, lace up and participate in the eighth edition of the annual Terry Fox Run for cancer research, organised by the Rotary Club of Madras East and IIT Madras. Over 15,000 participants are expected at the run named after Terrance Stanley Fox—a Canadian athlete and cancer activist who completed a cross-Canada marathon, the ‘marathon of hope’, with a prosthetic leg in 1980, to raise awareness about cancer. Donations from participants are welcome. On August 21, from 8 am onwards. Registration free.
