This is a shout-out to passionate female photographers around the city who are willing to receive some constructive criticism.
Organised by city-based photographer and founder of the Facebook group ‘Chennai Fearless Women Photographers’, Shannon Zirkle, the upcoming meeting ‘Show and Tell’ is a photo critique session where women photographers can bring in five soft copies of their pictures that they have clicked, for reviewing.

From century-old colleges and dhobi ghats to ancient mosques and temples, explore all the shades of Saidapet in a heritage walk tomorrow.
Hosted by a city-based social activist, the walk starts at the Saidapet court, and will cover areas such as the Marmalong bridge, Soundareswarar Temple, the Teachers Training College and Jennis Road, giving you insights of the places’ origins.
The walk ends at the Saidapet railway station.

Offering a whole range of home-baked savouries and desserts is the upcoming The Christmas Confectionery Carnival at Swiss Hutte.
The event will feature some of Chennai’s best home bakers — H&H Gourmet Cakes by Nahla, Choc of the Town by Subhathra, and Bakers Bakes by Diana. The carnival will have jams, cakes, dessert jars, cookies, tarts and breads on offer.
The event will also have Christmas games like Pin the nose on the reindeer, for children. All proceeds will go to charity.

Uttar Pradesh-based apparel brand Hands of India will present an exhibition of its handcrafted products, bringing indigenous fabric designs to the fore.
Featuring Jahota hand-block printing and Daabka Ajrakh, a vegetable-dyed motif, the exhibit will have dupattas, saris and kurtis in silk cotton, ikat and chanderi.

Get introduced to the world of Interior design with city-based architect Bhavani Aannandan.
Organised by Play Coop, a city-based preschool, the workshop will have the architect talk to aspiring interior designers about basic aspects of colour and lighting.
Students will get to learn how to make free-hand sketches, apart from engaging in interactive discussions on how to design based on geographic conditions.
