The famous Hyderabadi jewellery brand is now just a click away
You no longer have to visit Hyderabad to pick up a string of pearls from the city’s most sought-after address, as Krishna Pearls & Jewellers is now just a click away. Having gone online two months ago, the 30-year-old brand — which has followers like Lata Mangeskar, Jaya Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Salman Khan and Andhra Pradesh’s incumbent chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu — has put up their basic collections of necklaces, earrings and combined sets in their e-store.
Started by Mukundlal Chidyawale in 1983 with a small shop near Charminar, Krishna Pearls & Jewellers retails from 13 brick and mortar stores, including swanky venues like Taj Krishna, Novotel, The Westin, Hyderabad airport as well as Delhi international airport. Umesh Agarwal, managing partner and Chidyawale’s younger son, says, “We decided to create our identity in the online business as that is going to be the future.” While they have many fans from cities like Mumbai and Chennai, the pearl and colour stone jewellery set in white gold is a big hit with their foreign clientele.
More to come
With more than 10,000 clicks till date, Agarwal says, “We specialise in modern and trendy jewellery mostly preferred by women working in corporate sectors.” Expect festival discount offers and sales at the e-store four to five times in a year.
