A two-day workshop geared toward expanding imagination

The Creative Freedom Week, a-one-of-a-kind initiative by Live Artistic — an art and theatre-centric organisation, starts today with a host of theatre and dance-based workshops. “This event is for people who love the arts, but don’t find time to channel their talent,” reflects instructor and director Shiv Chauhan, telling us what to expect over the weekend.

    On the cards
The two-day event starts with Dance Masti (August 15, 3 pm) – a lively dance workshop for kids aged between 4 and 13. “The idea is to help kids gain confidence and dance helps you get there quickly,” enthuses dancer and actor Shruti Jolly.

Children who want to develop their acting skills can join Creative Theatre (August 16, 3 pm). This performance based workshop curated by Chauhan for kids ages four to 13 focuses on the overall creative development of your child, through games and stories.
That’s not all. Adults can add to their creative repertoire too. The Theatre Workshop for Adults (August 15 and 16, 3 pm) will impart skills like voice modulation, visualisation and sense activation. The participants will stage a performance at the finale on August 17.
