Set in 1882, in the Wild West, timid sheep herder Albert (MacFarlane) is dumped by his girlfriend after he shies away from a gunfight. Meanwhile, Clinch (Neeson), a notorious outlaw, sends his wife Anna (Theron) into town to lie low as the police is after them. Albert happens to save Anna from a pub brawl and the two become friends. Later, Albert gets into a gunfight, but Anna intervenes in time to help him. Things get dangerous when the duo develop feelings for each other and are seen kissing by Clinch’s henchman. Director-actor MacFarlane got the spark for the movie after joking with (animated sitcom) Family Guy co-writers about how easy it was to get killed in the Wild West.

When Jess (Robbie) tries to seduce and con Nicky (Smith), she realises that he is a con man, too, and way out of her league. Jess persuades Nicky to be her mentor and even meets his crew where she flaunts her pickpocketing skills. But when Nicky realises that he is falling for Jess, he walks away. Fast forward three years, Nicky goes to Argentina to help Garriga (Santoro), a billionaire, to rig a motor race, only to find Jess is his girlfriend. Amid a rekindled romance, Garriga suspects Nicky of deceiving him. Ryan Gosling, Brad Pitt and Ben Affleck were considered for the role of Nicky.

In future South Africa, high crime rates force law enforcement agencies to commission armoured robots from weapons manufacturing enterprise, Tetravaal, headed by Wilson (Patel). Incensed that his robots were not chosen, rival robot maker, Vincent (Hugh Jackman), develops an AI system that can help robots feel emotions and form opinions. In transit with a damaged robot, Vincent is kidnapped by a group of gangsters, who force him to install his superior AI into the damaged robot so that they can use it. Named Chappie, the robot has a mind of a child and is tricked into helping the gangsters steal cars and money. Meanwhile, Tetravaal tries to shut Chappie down. The movie’s name is derived from a South African chewing gum named Chappie.

Brothers Rahul (Khan) and Arjun (Malhotra) are at odds with each other. The former is a successful writer, while the latter struggles to make ends meet. The siblings are forced to visit their ancestral home in Coonoor, where grandfather Amarjeet is ailing after a heart attack. Rahul and Arjun’s parents, too, share a difficult relationship, which threatens to break up the Kapoor family. Things get complicated when Tia (Bhatt) meets Arjun at a party and falls for him. She later bumps into Rahul, and finds herself attracted to him, too. Akshay Kumar was approached for the role of Rahul, but turned it down as he disliked the character.
Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3 (Comedy), Netflix

After being disowned by his father, Kanhaiya (Kapoor) joins his unemployed friend Rocky (Shivdasani) in Thailand. Struggling to make ends meet, they decide to act in adult films. Shalu (Karimi) falls in love with Kanhaiya, unaware of his profession. When her parents ask to meet his family, he creates a phony one, with a crew comprising adult film stars. Chaos reigns when two fake fathers and his real father land up at the venue, while the crew also try to shoot a film on the side. How long can Kanhaiya keep the truth about his profession from Shalu? The censor board had to make 200 cuts before granting an A certificate to the film.

Based on the real-life story of Ron Woodroof (McConaughey), the film is set in the 1980s. Ron, a cowboy, is diagnosed with AIDS and finds his health deteriorating after using the FDA-approved ART zidovudine. Doctor Vass (Dunne), a license-revoked doctor, reveals that DDC, an FDA-non approved medicine, available in Mexico, could be a better bet. When Ron finds that his condition is improving with the illegal treatment, he begins to smuggle the drug into America and supply it among the other AIDS patients. Though motivated to make money initially, ultimately Ron finds a deeper calling. McConaughey shed 22 kg to play the role.
