CaratLane gets a brick and mortar showing at The Amethyst Room, with styling tips from Sandhya Oza
CaratLane, which launched in 2008, didna��t take long to get us addicted to online purchases for solitaires and diamond jewellery. Next came gold coins, an offline solitaire experience lounge and now, a social do for the fashion forward. Organised at The Amethyst Room today, the evening of fashion and jewellery will feature CaratLanea��s spring/summer collection with three distinct design inspirations. Plus, guests could get styling tips from Bangalorea��s image-consultant, Sandhya Oza.
a�?The Amethyst Room is sending me pictures of all the designer garments they have. So I am going to basically work on teaming their jewellery with the clothes for that perfect look,a�? explains Oza. One of the top 10 contestants of Mrs UK World 2014, she is looking forward to styling celebrity guests like Ashmita Krishna, Arya Raj and Rehana Shah. As for CaratLane, the lines will include Drops, a light weight collection with slim and fat drop colour stones like amethyst, citrine, blue topaz and more, and the Candy Crush collection, inspired by the popular gaming app and featuring large oval vibrant-coloured cabochon stones in 18 kt gold. Another collection, offering jhumkis, bangles, pendants and earrings, called Enamel Royale, draws inspiration from the enamel work on Rajasthani monuments, and set in 18 kt yellow gold. Indian motifs like vines, flowers, birds and paisley will also make an appearance.
