Joining other online deal finders, the new greatindianoutlet.com offers exclusive names at huge markdowns
RINGING designer wear with affordable price tags, Delhi-based designer Jyoti Jain Chibber, the founder of J-Square Designs label, will launch greatindianoutlet.com by the end of the month. Offering designer wear (like at Avastra, the offshoot of Evoluzione) expect post-season fashion at discounted prices. For 365 days, these luxury labels will be available at up to 50 per cent off.
With JJ Valaya onboard recently, they stock other Indian designers like Varun Bahl, Kavita Bhartiya, Priyanka Modi and Dhruv Kapoor, among others. Chibber has also put up neckpieces from her own label under the jewellery category, starting at Rs 1,500. The other three categories are ethnic wear, western wear and wraps & more (scarves, stoles and dupattas).
As soon as the website goes live, there is a confirmed 60 per cent off on all collections, except the Anju Modi range (that will be on 50 per cent off). Grab AM:PM’s palazzos, tunics and shirts at just Rs 4,500, while long dresses from Ranna Gill will cost Rs 8,000 approximately, or swipe a total of Rs 1,75,000 for an exquisite bridal lehenga by Shantanu and Nikhil.
With her latest venture, put together with support from the fashion fraternity over seven months, Chibber wants to enter the untapped markets of tier-B, C and D cities in India and serve 19,000 pincodes. She tells us, “Our market survey shows that there is a demand for luxury brands in cities such as Raipur and Coimbatore. People there have the money, but at the same time they might not want to spend a lakh on a designer garment, except for special occasions. But if the same is sold at Rs 40,000, they will jump at it.”
The designer experience extends right down to the packaging — lovely brown paper boxes filled with orange paper and the outfit ensconced in folds of butter paper with stamps of designers all over it. Don’t forget to look out for the certificate of authentication in there.
From Rs 4,500 to Rs 1,75,000. Details: greatindianoutlet.com
