Girl Most Likely
Director: Shari Springer Berman, Robert Pulcini
Cast: Kristen Wiig, Annette Bening
The story revolves around Imogene, played by Kristen Wiig. She’s a struggling playwright who, at the beginning of the movie, gets dumped by her boyfriend and fired from her boring office job. And, after a faked suicide attempt which was basically a cry for attention from her ex, she has to move in with her mother in NJ because she’s pretty much out of options. Kristen Wiig is funny without even trying and you’ll laugh at just her mannerisms and expressions and all those other things we love about her.
Director: Peter Landesman
Cast: Zac Efron, Tom Welling, Billy Bob Thornton
While there have been countless movies about the ensuing controversy behind John F Kennedy’s assassination, Parkland focuses on the four days that surrounded the horrific event, centering on the secondary players in the drama that unfolded.
One of the most fascinating things about this film is the way Peter Landesman condenses this huge story into such an engaging movie. A number of Hollywood’s finest actors take part in it, and some surprising casting choices pay large dividends.
