    The month is looking up for art lovers. DakshinaChitra is hosting an exhibition of paintings by city-based artist T G Thayumanavan, focussing on watercolours.     Love creating things out of junk? The newly-opened Up-Cycling Studio—started by French designer Marc, in Auroville—is organising several workshops this month. Learn how to make stools out of tetra packs and hats from old cassettes and tapes. From July 10 onwards. Each batch will take in only five students. Fees start from Rs 400  onwards.     Grand escape
    Hotel Grand Serenaa, the five-month
    old hotel in Pondicherry, is the latest three-star retreat on the coast.     Sita Cultural Centre is hosting an acoustic jam session this evening. Featuring guitarists from local bands, the fun-filled event will end with a light meal, which will include crepes, ice creams and mocktails.
