Peels, fillers and moisture boosters, Le Jeune Medspa offers a new range of treatments
Le Jeune Medspa, a quiet second floor space, on the busy Vittal Mallya Road is frequented by both local celebrities and film stars, we’re told. So we headed there to try out some of their treatments and see what the fuss was all about. Known for their skin care, hair transplant and weight loss treatments, doctor and founder, Shubha Dharmana, suggested we go with the glycolic face peel, which tackles tanned skin, apparently leaving your face much brighter and healthy looking.
After gently cleansing the skin on the face, the glycolic peel – a gel-based product made in Spain – is applied. It causes slight stinging so this may not be for those with extremely sensitive skin, says Dharmana, who has worked as a cosmetologist in clinics and hospitals across the UK, including National Slimming and Cosmetic Clinics in Northampton and Coventry.
The peel is left on for three minutes and then cleansed with a soft cotton pad. It is then neutralised with a solution of sodium bicarbonate and vitamin C to give it a glow. Final results are seen a week later, when the dead cells completely fall off, leaving younger and newer skin on the face. Some of Le Jeune’s latest treatments include the slightly macabre-sounding Vampire Facelift which helps reduce scars and wrinkles, boosts collagen and firms up and rejuvenates the skin and the Skin Booster which involves tiny injections of hyaluronic acid (a component naturally found in younger skin that gives a dewy texture to it) which absorbs water and holds moisture in place.
