The Disney Princess Academy gives your little dolls a royal transformation
The Disney Princesses brand comes back to town to give your little girls a chance to be part of a fairytale through the second edition of the Disney Princesses Academy. The multi-city tour starts in Bangalore next month so your little angels can be groomed into proper princesses with a complete makeover and lessons in ‘compassion, intelligence, kindness and grace’ that epitomise fairytale heroines the world over.
Lady in waiting
Over 3,600 royal hopefuls across cities can be part of a three hour session of makeovers, dancing, etiquette training and tiara making, culminating in a royal ball and a chance to be photographed with their favourite princesses. And eight lucky winners will be chosen to star on Disney Channel.
“Individual princesses have been part of Disney since Snow White in 1937. In 2000, Disney brought all our beloved heroines – Ariel, Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine, Aurora and Snow White together in a comprehensive collection of fantasy-based girls’ entertainment and products – the Disney Princess brand,” explains Roshini Bakshi, managing director, licensing & retail and publishing, Disney UTV.
Dreams come true
The event will see popular icons like Cinderella, Rapunzel and Snow White interact with your little princesses. “Last year, 1800 lucky fans got a chance to meet and greet with the princesses, experience our stories first-hand and engage with our characters,” Bakshi says, adding that they aim to create as many opportunities as possible for kids to experience Disney stories first-hand and engage with the characters.
