Oz the Great and Powerful, (Fantasy), Star Movies, 2.30 pm

A small-time circus magician (James Franco) is whisked far away from Kansas into the magical world of Oz. He thinks he is being rewarded for being a great wizard until he meets three witches– Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz), and Glinda
(Michelle Williams. Meanwhile, Oscar gets embroiled in the various problems troubling the Land of Oz. For his role as Oscar, Franco trained with magician Lance Burton.

Red Lights (Drama), HBO Hits, 8 pm

Physicist, Dr Margaret Matheson (Sigourney Weaver), and her assistant, Tom (Cilliam Murphy), are experts in cracking fraudulent paranormal activities. When known psychic and mind reader, Simon Silver (Robert De Niro), comes out of retirement after 30 years, the duo want to debunk his claims. But the closer they get to uncovering the truth, the more Tom is unsure of his beliefs. The film premiered at the Sundance film festival in January 2012.

The Fugitive (Action), WB, 2 pm

Chicago-based surgeon, Dr Richard Kimble (Harrison Ford), discovers that his wife, Helen (Sela Ward), has been murdered. The police finds Kimble guilty and arrests him. However, he manages to escape prison and sets out to hunt down his wife’s real murderer. In the meantime, US Marshal, Samuel Gerard (Tommy Lee Jones)takes up the task of chasing Kimble. The movie was based on the 1993 television series, The Fugitive.

Alice in Wonderland (Fantasy), HBO Defined, 8 pm

Alice (Mia Wasikowska) is 19 and about to be betrothed to an English nobleman, Hamish Ascot (Leo Bill). She escapes the party and ends up in ‘Underland’—a world that resembles her nightmares—with a Red Queen (Helena Boneham Carter) and a White Queen (Anne
Hathaway).  Alice has to help slay the Jabberwocky (a dragon-like creature) and help restore the White Queen to power. Anne
Hathaway was originally offered the role of Alice.
