When Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) is picked up by a fisherman post a traumatic accident at sea, he has no clue whatsoever of who he is or where he’s from. With the exception of vivid memories of defence, linguistic skills and fighting that speaks of a dangerous past. As he sets out to discover more about himself, things get serious when he is targeted by assassins. Because of 9/11 the producers decided to make the film more relevant by discarding the opening and closing sequences and replacing them with alternates.

The roguish Captain Jack Sparrow’s (Johnny Depp) tranquil pirate life capsizes after his nemesis, the wily Captain Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush), steals his ship, the Black Pearl, and later attacks the town of Port Royal thereby kidnapping the Governor’s beautiful daughter, Elizabeth (Keira Knightley). In a brave attempt to save her and recapture the Black Pearl, Elizabeth’s childhood friend Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) joins forces with Jack. What Will doesn’t know is that Barbossa and his crew have a dark secret that is linked to a lost treasure. Originally, Johnny Depp wanted Jack Sparrow to have no nose and be afraid of silly things like pepper and the common cold, however Disney rejected the idea.

When on a routine spacewalk, disaster hits their space shuttle, leaving astronauts Dr Ryan Stone (Sandra Bullock) and Matt Kowalski (George Clooney) adrift in space. This is Stone’s first shuttle mission. Both, Stone and Kowalski, who is a veteran astronaut, have to
work together to survive this. Their only hope lies in making it to the Chinese space station in time. The opening scene of the movie, starting from the establishing shot of the Earth to Dr Stone detaching from the structure, is a single, continuous shot that lasts about twelve and a half minutes.
