    Debuting on the Lakme India Fashion Week stage this season is Hamburg-based Tom Tailor, a popular European mid-range brand known for its classic casual style that is geared towards the cosmopolitan buyer. Entering the country through an exclusive tie-up with e-commerce giant, Jabong.com, the showcased garments are also available on the portal. “Jabong’s USP is casual fashion tweaked to the nuances of Indian demand – thus Tom Tailor plays perfectly into that offer. The collections are a perfect blend of modern style and high fashion,” explains CEO, Dieter Holzer, adding, “We decided to launch Tom Tailor in India in spring, summer 2015 online and are not planning to open retail stores here.”
    While the label currently offers four product lines – Tom Tailor, Tom Tailor Denim, Tom Tailor Polo Team and Tom Tailor Bonita, Jabong will see Tom Tailor and Tom Tailor Denim, marking their entrance with their spring summer collections. The former is inspired by the urban, casual streets of Miami with special emphasis on smart fits and premium quality fabrics. Think navy-based overalls and light trench coats in shades like dirty yellow and cyan.
    Favouring denim
    The versatile Tom Tailor Denim line built around the theme, Spring break targets a younger demographic. Light blue denims feature heavily, paired with white shirts, keeping it simple and classic. Embroidery and blotch prints add more design elements. “Our urban casual wear and accessories in the mid-range price segment appeal to a target group ranging in age from 0 to 40. So overall, we cover the fashionable, the confident and the unconventional lifestyles,” concludes Holzer.
