Crack of Dawn Crafts, a creative blog has interesting hand-made offerings round the year

After cutesy tags, cards and mini-containers for popular city crafts supplies store blog, Itsy Bitsy, Sunehra Koshy now makes personalised baby-books and albums to doll-houses complete with quirky characters and detailed interiors for her own blog and facebook page, Crafting till the crack of dawn and Crack of Dawn Crafts, respectively. We take a closer look.

    Getting started
Always creatively inclined, a chance snoop at Itsy Bitsy’s online presence prompted Koshy to contact the owners and offer to start-up and maintain their blog and other social media outlets. “I discovered that in a month’s time all of the stuff on the blog was made by me and I really enjoyed it. So I decided to start my own craft blog and diversify the materials I use,” says Koshy who uses paper crafts mainly embellished with sequins, glitter or lace.

    Made to suit
She holds open house events every few months and takes part in the occasional flea market to get rid of stock. She also takes very special orders. “I just find that most of the time people want to order something I have already made and that doesn’t stimulate me creatively. So if it’s something that excites me, I take it up,” shares Koshy who works after her kids are in bed often ‘crafting till the crack of dawn’.

Koshy even brings out special seasonal goodies like chocolate rakhis and Diwali lanterns. For the coming season, she plans to have 3D sleighs that act as mini chocolate containers, centre pieces, gift-bag sets and more. She even keeps a stock of cutesy party favours, photo frames, notebooks, 3D cards with matching envelopes and adorable hair bands for your little princess. Look out for her Christmas Sale scheduled for December.
