How good are Hollywood actors at imitating other Hollywood actors? Let’s find out.
Hollywood stars are often known for poking fun or imitating other celebrities. And with Ariana Grande pulling off a seamless imitation of Shakira, and Rihanna at a recent show on Saturday Night Live, here’s a look at some of
the good ones in the recent past.

Recently, on Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Demi Lovato stumped the audience with her precise impression of Christina Aguilera. The 23-year-old singer played a round of “Wheel of Musical Impressions,” in which competitors have to perform songs in the style of randomly selected singers. Lovato pulled off Aguilera’s SpongeBob SquarePants theme song without a hitch. “Oh my goodness! That is unbelievable! Game over! I can’t top that,” Fallon exclaimed, accepting his defeat at the show.

If there’s one guy who deserves an award for doing impressions, it ought to be Walking Dead star Ross Marquand. Recently on Jimmy Kimmel, he was asked to imitate Mathew McConaughey, and it was so good that Kimmel went on to make request after request. And as luck would have it, Marquand obliged. He went on to impersonate Kevin Spacey, John C Riley, and Justin Timberlake, and nailed each one of them. In fact, a little earlier this year, Marquand imitated 17 celebrities in seconds on Vanity Fair’s online channel. Now is he talented or what?
At a recent online video by TV Guide, star of Young & Hungry, Aimee Carrero demontrated her impersonation skills to the T. She not only imitated Modern Family’s Sofia Vergara — voice and facial expressions — but took on Selena Gomez as well. Incidentally, this 27-year-old Dominican-American actress’ co-star, Emily Osment imitates Carrie Underwood extremely well too!
Hollywood actor Robert De Niro has had many impersonators, but one of the most enthusiastic ones has got to be actor Tom Hiddleston. “I know whole pages of Heat,” he declared on an episode of The Graham Norton Show last year, before going on to perform both the De Niro and the Al Pacino parts of the famous diner scene from Michael Mann’s cops and robbers classic. The 35-year-old actor surely knows how to get the De Niro squint right. But the best part, he put on the entire act right in front of De Niro himself! “That was great. That was my favorite scene in the movie,” De Niro said, to which Hiddleston added, “It’s an expression of admiration, just to be clear. I do impressions of people I admire.”
American singer Ariana Grande is not just popular for her songs. The 22-year-old musician is also known for her impersonating skills. At a recent Saturday Night Live show, the singer went on to copy Celine Dion singing the Disney classic Beauty and the Beast, Shakira (including the famous hip-shaking), and even Britney Spears, and Rihanna, and with quite the accuracy. When asked about her impression of Dion, Grande was quoted to have said, “I’m just a big fan. I’m a really big fan. I think that’s why they don’t get mad because they know that I come from a place of love…”
