This annual sale covers everything from macaroons to a gluten-free idli mix
MADRAS Midtown Ladies Circle 7’s annual bake sale is now called The Gourmet Room. Chairperson of the Ladies Circle, Shalini Voora, says, “Unlike previous years, this time the sale will not be limited to baked goods.” This year’s edition will feature savouries and also other ready-to-eat mixes.
Expect around 20 stalls that will represent several city-based home bakers and caterers. Presenting authentic, wholesome and homemade products, brands like SpiceRoots will be selling gluten free idli and dosa mixes, millets, instant millet pancake mix, porridge and pickles. Voora tells us that the sale will also see Gulab’s launching its version of ‘Tiny Khakras,’ apart from selling its regulars like pickles and masalas.
Also look forward to European classics like macaroons, biscottis, cookies and artisanal breads. Find desserts like brownies, cakes, breads and bread rolls by J’s Bakes and Ambrosia. Do not miss cheese by Kase and honey from Ecologin. What’s more, the funds from the charity event will be used to build classrooms for two city-based schools.
Rs 50 onwards. On December 13, at Amethyst Cafe. Details: 45991630
