Gear up for a weekend of high fashion and glamour with the third edition of Spicy Sangria at Vivanta by Taj. Organised by mother-daughter team Sharmila and Shaan Khanna, the one-day exhibition will see a mix of renowned and upcoming designers participating.
While the goods on offer extend from the funky to the experimental, Shaan says the focus is also on festive and bridal wear. “We have an exciting new range of designers that we have put together for the festive and upcoming wedding seasons,” says Shaan.
Guests can choose from bags, jewellery, shoes, home decor, art and apparel. Designers showcasing their collections include Atosa, Palm Pulse, Trupsel, Lana Cherry, Ravina Bangalore, Leena & Tahira, Kavya Creations, Soul Affair, Aditi Bagchi Bharti’s, TAD, Myoho, Suchitra, Amberr, Shalini Shahani, Moobaa, Kamakshi, Dimple Chawla, Alpa & Reena, Osaa, Nikitha Ahuja, Stoffa and The Mauve Unit.
Designer Nikhil Thampi, known for his quirky sophistication, will showcase his collection at the Atosa stall (a multi-designer boutique in Mumbai that carries names like Wendell Rodricks, James Ferreira, Savio Jon, Gauri and Nainika and Nachiket Barve). Kavya Creations offers luxe gift wrapping options with a mix of interesting fabrics, colours, paper and embellishments.
Shopaholics can catch a break at Fresh Pressery, who will be participating for the first time. Courtesy Natasha Hinshaw and Rishaad Vazirally, the cold-pressed beverage company offers delicious health drinks from fresh, raw ingredients.
An extension of Shaan’s award-winning lifestyle blog of the same name, Spicy Sangria supports the Colours of Hope Initiative by Hothur Charitable Trust, which works to make children express themselves through art. Show your support too by contributing to the selfie wall with the Polaroid shots provided at the event.
