Seagull at Vivanta by Taj Fisher-man’s Cove has a special Diwali buffet for lunch this year. The general manager of the hotel, B C Kumar,  tells us about the other attractions too. “We will have an in-house cocktail and cracker session after 11 pm. The cocktails are on the house and we will also be distributing sweets and chocolates to guests,” he says. On Saturday, the lobby will be decorated with diyas and candles and the rooms will have Diwali perks like a platter of Diwali sweets and diyas and a special Diwali lunch at Seagull. Amber, the coffee shop at Ocean Spray, is well known for their breakfast buffet which includes South Indian dishes like masala dosas and idlis. But for Diwali, their special brunch includes quiche creamy vegetable, non vegetarian strudel, North Indian lamb thalcha, Chinese chilli garlic squid, continental cajun spice broiled fish, roast thyme potatoes, honey glazed parsley carrot condiments. Their dessert platter is elaborate and features North Indian desserts like  paneer bagh-e-bahar, dal malpua, motichor ladoo, rava ladoo, South Indian rasmalai and aviyal athirasam.
