After the favourable reviews for his performance in Kazhagu, Krishna Kulasekaran had signed a handful of films. One of them, Vanavarayan Vallavarayan, is in production now. Krishna shares frames with Monal Gujjar in it. Like many of his earlier films, this is also a home production. However, unlike Kazhugu—an intense action flick—this one is said to be a light-hearted comic entertainer.
After playing supporting roles in films like Chennai-28 and Vennila Kabaddi Kuzhu, Vijay Vasanth got his ‘heroic’ break in Madhil Mel Poonai, an action thriller. Now the actor is eagerly awaiting the release of his next venture, Ennamo Nadakkudhu, a home production. Vasanth reportedly trained in various forms of fighting for this suspense-action thriller.
“I’ve made it with a lot of passion, free from clichés,” says Mohan Sharma about the period film, Namma Gramam, that he directed, produced and acted in. The Tamil film, which will be released shortly, earned the late actress Sukumari a National Award. Set in a village in Palghat in the 1930s, it reflects the rigid traditional customs of the period.
