Luck be a lady
Unni Mukundan, a rising actor in Malayalam films, had made his debut with Tamil film, Seedan. But the Dhanush-starrer had sunk without a trace. Now Mukundan is back in Tamil with Tihar. Directed by Perarasu, the film—a bilingual with a Malayalam version, too—is a gangster story. Hopefully, Mukundan’s second tryst with Tamil films will be a
more lasting one.
Based in Dubai, Saritha makes occasional trips home to do the odd film down south. The actress is excited about her role in Inam, a bilingual in Tamil/English (called Ceylon in English), directed by Santosh Sivan. “It’s an interesting role and I get to speak Sri Lankan Tamil,” she says. Incidentally, her two sons are all set to don make-up. “They’ve been getting offers, but I wanted them to finish their studies first,” says Saritha.
2013 has probably been the most fruitful year in Arya’s career, with all his films proving to be safe bets at the box office. Next on the list is his home production. Directed by Rajesh, the film has Santhanam in the cast. The trio’s earlier teaming, in Boss Engira Bhaskaran, had been a successful one. One can expect another hilarious outing this time around, too.
