Director: Scott Derrickson | Cast: Benedict Cumberbatch, Rachel McAdams
An arrogant, self-centred protagonist, Dr Stephen Strange (Cumberbatch) is blessed with special powers after being cured from a terrible accident that leaves his hands in a mangled state. While he goes around saving lives, he also fights off evil forces. A must-watch, whether you’re a Marvel fan or not.

Rock On 2
Director: Shujaat Saudagar
Cast: Farhan Akhtar, Shraddha Kapoor
The film tries to revive the magic of the prequel but doesn’t live up to it. The story this time is about how Adi (Akhtar) brings together his band (Magik) members, Joe (Arjun Rampal) and KD (Purab Kohli) with a new entrant, Jia (Shraddha Kapoor). Jia’s father a classical musician is against her contemporary music. The young singer is helped by Magik members to debut on stage and start her music career. Unlike part one, Rock On 2 is nowhere close to being a classic band film.
Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk
Director: Ang Lee
Cast: Joe Alwyn, Kristen Stewart, Chris Tucker, Vin Diesel, Steve Martin
This war drama by director Ang Lee (of Brokeback Mountain and Life of Pi fame) is the story of titular Billy Lynn, a 19-year-old Army specialist in Iraq. The movie has strong characteristics and has been praised for its story. But the technical innovations, like its high frame rate, feel like a gimmick and add no value.
