Following the favourable response Ennamo Nadakkudhu garnered, the team is back with a new venture. An action thriller, Sigandi will reunite actor Vijay Vasanth and director Rajapandi and it will be produced by the actor’s home banner. “The positive response to my last release has also made me a little apprehensive… for there is more expectation from my films now,” says Vasanth, who says the film, a two-hero subject, will deal with a relevant social issue.
Call of the screen
Though he is busy with his cinematographic assignments in Hindi films, Natraj does take time off occasionally to act in Tamil films. He is now all set to appear in Sathuranga Vettai, where he is paired with Ishara. Directed by debutant H Vinod, the film’s screenplay is in a six-episode format and is produced by director-turned-actor Manobala whose spot-on comedy has regaled audiences in many a film.
Arima Nambi is all set to hit theatres today. Actor Vikram Prabhu’s third release, he is paired with Priya Anand. Reportedly, the character he plays is more outgoing and far removed from the ones he has essayed so far. Directed by debutant Anand Shankar, grandson of popular playwright and theatre personality the late Komal Swaminathan, the film is an action thriller. It also marks the debut of drummer Sivamani as music director.
