Up the ladder
Since his debut in Rattinam, Laguparan has chalked up a Tamil and a French film to his credit. Next on the anvil is, Ettuthikkum Madhayanai, where he shares frames with Sathya. The actor is also working on Manam Mayanguthey, where he plays a courier boy and the repercussions he faces when he tries to make some quick money to tide over a financial crisis. It’s been a slow climb for the actor and hopefully these films will help boost his career.
Right at home
Srikanth has his hands full. The actor’s first home production, Nambiar, with Sunaina and Santhanam, is all set to release shortly. Directed by debutant Ganeshaa, Srikanth says the film is “a comic-fantasy.” Meanwhile, he has also completed his shoot for Om Shanthi Om (for another banner) and is gearing up for his second home production, Saamiyaatam—the remake of the Telugu film, Swami Ra Ra. The actor’s career seems to be on the right track now.
Nalanum Nandiniyum is scheduled to release today. Directed by first timer R Venkatesan, it has debutant Michael sharing frames with
Nandita. Her last release, Mundasuppatti, showcased her in a favourable light and she has much to look forward to in this one. The story centres around a couple in love who get married, the post-marriage scenario and the problems the couple face.
