An Independence Day release, the film is said to be a satire on the filmmaking process and is the actor-director’s tribute to 100 years of Indian cinema. Unlike his earlier directorial ventures, Partheiban hasn’t cast himself in the film, a home production. The cast comprises of newcomers with some top actors making a cameo.

    Kids central
Films for children or centred around children are a rarity on the big screen. So when a debutant director decides to make
a film on children, with a social message to boot, it is a welcome move. Puthiyathor Ulagam Seivom, directed by Nithyanandam, revolves around three children who try to right the wrongs done by their father. The children cast in the film were contestants on a reality TV show.
