Vimal’s recent releases may not have set the box office on fire. But luckily for the actor, his films continue to release at regular intervals. a dance number.
Action king Arjun is back with Jai HInd 2, a sequel to his 1994 film Jai Hind. Scripted, produced and directed by him, it’s a take on the current day educational system. Paired with him is Surveen Chawla (of the Hindi Hate Story 2). The duo had shared sizzling screen chemistry in Vasanth’s Moondru Per Moondru Kadhal. The cast includes Charlotte Claire (Miss Gladrags 2013), Simran Kapoor and Rahul Dev. A trilingual (Tamil, Kannada, Telugu), the film releases today.
Daniel Balaji is excited, for Gnana Kirukkan is all set to hit theatres shortly. Balaji essays a mentally imbalanced character in it. ‘‘The plot is based on real characters and we shot on actual locations. It was a tad disconcerting when the man on whose character mine is based, kept staring at me all through the shoot,” says the actor. Directed by Ilayadevan, the film has debutant Jagaraj and Archana Kavi in the lead.
