    Fun and chills
It’s rare when a Srikanth-starrer creates a buzz. But his new film, Sowcarpettai, which is still in shooting, is getting the actor a fair degree of publicity. “It’s my first dual role and my first attempt in the supernatural genre,” he says, adding, “The buzz could be because it’s in the comic-thriller genre, which is popular these days.”

    The three musketeers
The much-awaited Purampokku Engira Podhuvudamai is releasing today. Directed by Jananathan, it stays true to the director’s love for the off beat. A multi-starrer, it follows the journey of three men—played by Shaam, Arya and Vijay Sethupathi. “Apart from my challenging role of a hangman, it was working with Jananathan and watching the way he handled the script that excited me,”
    says Sethupathi.

    Fingers crossed
Not all industry kids have it easy. Like Manoj, Prithvi and Shanthanu who are still struggling to get a strong foothold in films. The trio are now co-starring in Vaaimai, for which shooting is going on at a brisk pace. The film has a huge cast of actors—some of them on a comeback track, like Ramki and Goundamani. Hopefully, it will be a career booster for
    the actors.
