    Back to act

He’d given acting a back seat, busy as he was directing films. And now with three consecutive hits under his belt, Sundar C is back to donning make-up. His next film Aranmai has him wearing the hat of both director and actor. Touted as a comic-horror film, it has three gorgeous heroines, Hansika, Andrea and Lakshmi Rai. If you go by the director’s earlier films, this should be another laugh riot.

    Rumour has it

When he’s not acting in Tamil films, Bhagyaraj is busy with his other language acting assignments. Now the master screenplay writer is all set to launch his new film, which he would be directing and acting in. While the rest of the details are being worked out, one learns that actor Jairam has been roped in to share frames with Bhagyaraj.

    Two in a row

Jai Akash has his hands full—he’s both the director and hero in two films. He’s just completed Love In Malaysia, a January release. “It’s a Face off kind of film shot completely in Malaysia,” says Akash. The other is Anandam Arambam. A bilingual in Tamil and Telugu, it would be a sort of sequel to his Telugu hit Anandam. 2014 promises to be an eventful year for the actor-director.
