Not a sequel, this
The Rajesh-Arya-Santhanam team who had regaled audiences in Boss Engira Bhaskaran, return with Vasuvum Saravananum Onna Padichavanga. Arya’s home production, the film is a romantic comedy. It is also Tamannaah’s first-time pairing with Arya. “It’s a celebration of friendship and love, and an entirely new script,” says director M Rajesh, insisting that “it does not glorify liquor and it is not a sequel.”
Madurai to Theni Vazhi Andipetti was an engaging road journey with freshers in its cast and crew. Five years down the line, the team returns with its sequel, Madurai to Theni – 2. “It will be a true sequel, continuing where the other left off, ” says director Rathibala, who had helmed the earlier film. While sequels rarely match up to their earlier versions, hopefully this one will.
