    Second that
After Pandiya Naadu, Vishal is on to his next venture titled Naan Sigappu Manithan, a romantic thriller. It’s the actor’s second production venture and his second pairing with Lakshmi Menon. It is also his second film with director Thiru, after the suspense thriller Samar. Quite a few ‘seconds’ here.

    Charity sprint
Pooja Umashankar is riding high on the rave reviews she’s been receiving for Vidiyum Munn. And she’s keeping the goodwill going. The actress is off to Sri Lanka for a charity event. “It’s a 5 kilometre run for the cause of cancer-affected kids,” she says. Incidentally, a public opinion poll in the island country has rated her as the most popular face of Sri Lankan cinema.

    Confident start
Suresh Krishna has launched his own production banner. The maker has the enviable record of directing superstars of various regional languages. For his maiden venture, which he’s directing too, it’s Prince, the fast rising hero of Telugu films, and Vaniya Mishra, a former Ms India, who play the leads. “As of now it’s to be in Tamil… a Telugu version may come later,” says the director.
