Anegan hits theatres today. The KV Anand-directed film with Dhanush, Karthik and Aishwarya Devan, also has Amyra Dastur (of the Hindi film Issaq fame) debuting in Tamil. Dhanush sports different looks as part of his role, set against multiple period backdrops. It showcases the actor in a role different from recent times.
“It’s a romantic caper laced with action,” says Anand.

Shooting is on for Uppu Karuvadu, which is being planned as an early summer release. Directed and co-produced by Radha Mohan, it has actors Karunakaran, Nandita, and Kumaravel sharing frames. The plot, which revolves around the life of people in coastal areas, is a light-hearted entertainer with a relevant message.
Arun Vijay is elated. After his impressive makeover in Thadaiyara Thaakka, his sleek look and performance as Victor, the antagonist, in Yennai Arindhaal is earning him kudos. “It has given me huge confidence to handle any challenging role in the future. The credit goes to Gautham (Menon) for believing in me, and for Ajith for giving me the space,” says Vijay, adding, “I’ll be very cautious choosing my future scripts.”
