With seven films lined up, actress Leesha Eclairs is extremely busy these days.

With seven films in her kitty after just nine months in the industry, newcomer Leesha Eclairs is a happy girl. A literature graduate from Ethiraj College, the 24-year-old thought she had found her calling when a modelling opportunity came her way two years ago. Content with brand shoots (like Raasi Silks, BSNL and Kalyan Silks), Eclairs admits to feeling hesitant when she was approached by actor and friend Nithin Sathya for a role in his film. “Modelling was comfortable. At that point, I was scared, but I wanted to give it a shot nevertheless,” says the actress, who is from Nellore, Andhra Pradesh. She has since dabbled in horror, comedy and romance, among other genres.
Talking about Madai Thirandhu, a period film set in 1945—where she acts alongside Rana Daggubati and Regina Cassandra—Eclairs confesses that she was very nervous, considering the star cast, and was careful about avoiding extra takes. “The experience was also very different because of the kind of makeup and styling; we went with the typical 1940s look,” she says.
Besides this, she also has Sirikka Vidalama, with actor Nithin Sathya, and Pothu Nalam Karuthi with Karunakaran. While the latter is slated to release in December, the others are in post-production. The actress, who is a trained freestyle dancer, also hopes to land an opportunity to star in a dance film soon.
Pothu Nalam Karuthi is slated for a December release.
