Flea080 spreads out through Phoenix MarketCity
With over 80 stalls from across the country, Flea080 goes rural with its Village Mela this weekend. Featuring everything from jewellery, apparel and hair accessories to home decor, leather products and kitchen products, the action kicks off with a midnight market that begins at 5 pm on Friday until midnight, through all of Saturday, and ending on Sunday at 9 pm.
This time around there is something for art and culture lovers as well, with paintings by local artists and city bands taking over the stage. All within the ambience of a traditional village fair, so expect plenty of colour, food and fun activities here.
Changing venues and themes each month, Flea080 shuffles the vendors and products accordingly, with a focus on young entrepreneurship, especially among college students.
Stalls will offer plenty of handcrafted jewellery from chunky neckpieces and earrings to funky bangles, anklets and more. Plus, printed saris, stoles, home accessories in metal casting and the more quirky multi-colour variety.
Also look out for traditional games, camel rides, pottery workshops, puppet shows and folk music and dance performances.
