Improv Comedy Bangalore presents Whose Mom Is It Anyway!
What better way to have your mom enjoy a special day dedicated to her than with a four-course meal topped with laughter? Jus’ Trufs presents Whose mom is it anyway! , an improv show performed by Improv Comedy Bangalore. Abhishek Desai, Rohit Nair, Nasir Engineer, Madhu Shukla and Benson Chacko will create situations on the spot, to leave the audience in splits. “To begin with, Improv is a series of game scenes that are performed unscripted, and our theme for this time is Mothers’ Day,” says Engineer. Taken from their personal experiences, they will imitate the average Indian mom, and their reactions to common situations.
Asked about the challenges involved, Nasir says “Nothing is hard per se, but can be challenging since we’ll have to do a bit of research and a background check on the subject. Portraying their closely related characteristics and traits will be great fun.” Jus Trufs has always been a special stage for ICB because they performed here for the first time, 10 months ago. A talented quintet consisting of an engineer, system architect, musician, theater facilitator and improv comedian, it promises to be a memorable show.
The four-course meal will include dishes like a cucumber mint gazpacho, stuffed rice balls and more. “Supper theatre is a great concept and we want our audiences to experience it with their loved ones,” says Teyjas Schae, director of Jus Trufs.
