At its first show for 2017, Studio Trioss features 20 designers
It’s the festive season and fashion exhibitions are popping up a dime a dozen. However, 41-year-old entrepreneur Sheetal Modi claims that Studio Trioss curates fashion from designers that are exclusive to her brand. Opening the 40th edition of the bi-annual exhibition-and-sale at Amethyst on February 9, shoppers can expect to find a range of bespoke apparel, accessories, jewellery and food.
Having been in the business of organising exhibitions for the last 10 years, the city-based entrepreneur says that while there has been a general upward trend in buying capacities, fashion is no longer restricted to labels. “People are willing to experiment with cuts, fabrics and designers. That way, they can keep investing in trends as they change and not burn a hole in their pocket,” she says with a smile. With 40 designers on board for the exhibition, Sheetal has carefully curated the line-up to ensure each stall has an exclusive offering. “Each of the designers retail fabrics and cuts that are unique to their store. Consider a Kalamkari sari from Bengaluru-based designer Vedantham, no other stall at the exhibition will carry such saris.”
Choose from an array of jewellery from the Bengaluru-based Soul by Arts, organic silk saris from Being Positive, toys for kids from Little Factory, khadi kurtas from Odisha-based label Rustic Hues, organic skin care products from Bottled Bliss, among others. The exhibition will also have gifting solutions like wedding cards, trousseau packing, presentation trays, fancy boxes from Riti Riwaz, Gifted and Nitya Creations.
Apparel and accessories from Rs 1,500 onwards. Entry Free. February 9-10 from 11 am to 8 pm at The Folly, Amethyst. Details: 9840105010
