Ashima Dewan with Jaya Hiranandani

From dance soirées to an art fiesta, the week gone by was jam-packed with a melange of interesting activities. Also, it was raining celebrities in the City of Nizams. Mother-daughter duo, Rajeswari and Vyshnavie Sainath staged a captivating dance performance titled ‘Ganga: A River With A Soul,’ at Ravindra Bharathi. This rhythmic narration of the myths along with a commentary about its current polluted state was merged along with two traditional dance forms: Bharatanatyam and Odissi. The show, which also included a tribute to the Himalayas, had everyone in the audience watching with rapt attention.
Meanwhile, the city’s arty crowd was spotted at a show organised by curator Sayyad Shaiek to promote emerging artists. This all-women do called ‘Creative Artmosphere’ at Rainbow Art Gallery saw 12 local, national and international artists participate in it.
The week traversed from art to Adnan Sami. The famous singer was present at the Wellness Conclave held by the Young FICCI Ladies Organisation, hosted in association with SAARC Chamber Women Entrepreneur Council and Sleepwell Foundation at Park Hyatt. The Lift Kara De singer spoke about his weight loss journey and wellness. The session weaved in a touch of pop as he entertained the audience with some of his hit numbers like Kabhi Toh Nazar Milao, and Bhar Do Jholi from the Salman Khan-starrer, Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
