An exciting new travel venture for gourmands, The Culinary Social (CS) will bring a “complete solution to your travel desires combined with a unique culinary experience” says founder Ricky Barot (36), introducing the month-old venture. The Mumbai-based enterprise is dedicated to taking discerning travellers on personalised, interactive tours to global hotspots such as Hong Kong. The emphasis of a CS holiday is the exclusively curated itinerary of gourmet delights, street food, and Michelin-star eateries.
The very first CS tour to Hong Kong will commence in May and will go on for eight days, with the team finalising places like Morocco, Cambodia, Vietnam, the Amalfi Coast, etc. “You can also look forward to exclusive networking.” promises founder Dhaval Udeshi (36). “The beauty is that people from anywhere in the world can join this tour and you will meet people of different countries and cultures through our platform.” The third founding member, Shaival Chandra (36), adds, “We provide accessibility not only to street food places but also to the restaurants which we have included in our itinerary where there is a minimum waiting period of one and a half months in peak season.”
Offering options of solo or group tours, Chandra tells us, “We can take only 12 people at a time as our team of travel curators also focus on crafting bespoke travel experience suited to your preferences.” Highlights of the Hong Kong itinerary include a visit to the acclaimed Aqua restaurant and Joel Robuchon’s eatery. “Known as the Chef of the Century, he will be challenging our perception of French cuisine with a revolutionary new vegetarian six-course tasting menu during the trip to Hong Kong. He is also creating a special French vegetarian menu for our group at L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon,” says Chandra, adding that they have plans to add around 50 culinary destinations in the next three years.
