Director: Vinu Vinod Chopra
Cast: Vincent DaOnofrio, Anton Yelchin, Chris Marquette
The film is a tale of bromance focussing on older brother Buddy (Marquette) who joins a gang while the younger one, Jacob (Yelchin) is sent to New York to study. When Jacob returns after many years, he realises Buddy has been working with mobs. And when an assassination goes wrong, the brothers must fight for each other. While the plot fails in the cowboy setting, Chopraas noir style comes through, in what is a luke warm film.
Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!
Director: Dibakar Banerjee
Cast: Sushant Singh Rajput, Anand Tiwari, Divya Menon
The story begins in an old-school Kolkata, portraying life in 1942. Ajit (Tiwari) hires Byomkesh Bakshy (Rajput) to find his father who has been missing for more than two months. After some investigation, Byomkesh finds that Ajitas father has been killed. The plot revolves around how he solves the murder mystery. The film is a cocktail of fantastic cinematography and great performances from the leads. If that is not enough, maybe the great screenplay will get you interested.
Fast & Furious 7
Director: James Wan
Cast: Jason Statham, Paul
Walker, Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Ludacris
After defeating Owen Shaw, Dominic (Diesel), Brian (Walker), and the gang are able to return to the United States. However, Deckard Shaw (Statham) seeks revenge against Dom and his family for his comatose brother. Although a bit too scattered in terms of the plot, the film is two hours of power-packed action fueled by dedication and passion. A fitting tribute to the late Paul Walker, the last several minutes will bring on the emotion with his brothers filling in as Brian.
