Director: Siddharth Anand
Cast: Hrithik Roshan,Katrina Kaif
A faithful copy of the Tom Cruise-Cameron Diaz starrer Knight and Day, this one is all about the relaunch of Roshan who plays Rajveer Nanda an undercover agent. He is brought in after gang leader (Danny Denzongpa) has a shoot out at the MI6 headquarters and is headed to freedom. Kaif plays an unassuming receptionist caught in the crossfire. Slick stunts, Roshan’s chiseled body and a few catchy songs should see you through this one.
Deliver Us From Evil
Director: Scott Derrickson
Cast: Eric Bana, Édgar Ramírez, Olivia Munn
All the more spooky for having been based on real life events, this
film will have you checking under the bed before you go to sleep. New York cop Ralph Sarchie (Eric Bana) forms an unlikely partnership with a priest, who convinces him that the series of violent and inexplicable crimes that he is investigating are linked to a demon that must be exorcised. At times little contrived, but nonetheless gripping.
Director: Vishal Bhardwaj
Cast: Shahid Kapoor, Tabu Kay Kay Menon
A telling story about Kashmir Valley in 1995, Haider (Kapoor) is a brooding poet and the focus point of the Bollywood Hamlet. His world is turned upside down when his father, whom he worships, is guilty of harbouring terrorists. His mother Ghazala (Tabu, essaying Gertrude), and uncle Khurram (Menon, playing Claudius) begin to live together and Haider must get to the core of things. Stellar performances and stunning cinematography make this worth a watch.
