Sin City 2: A Dame To Kill For
Director: Robert Rodriguez,
Frank Miller
Cast: Mickey Rourke,
Jessica Alba, Josh Brolin
Based on the second graphic book of the Sin City series by Frank Miller, this classic revenge film is a follow-up to the 2005 released crime thriller of the same name. Though the movie has stylish effects, the plot is bizzare with no connection between the tales or the narration.

Amara Kaaviyam
Director: Jeeva Shankar
Cast: Sathya, Mia George
It’s a love triangle set in the late 1980s with the youthful teaming of Sathya and Malayali actor, George. Focused and lyrical in its depiction of the love-scenes, the film does away with many of the commercial trappings. But despite the poignant situations and the agony of the lovers, it somehow fails to touch an emotional chord. Sathya plays the lovelorn youngster with fair competence while George is an exciting find. It may not be ‘a poem of love’, but it’s a fairly watchable love saga.
