Dumb and Dumber To
Director: Bobby and Peter Farrelly
Cast: LJim Carrey, Jeff Daniels
Twenty years after their
earlier adventures, Lloyd (Carrey) and Harry (Daniels) reunite on a quest to find Harry’s newly-discovered daughter (who was adopted), in the hope that she proves to be a match for the kidney he needs. Slapstick humour and gags abound, and while some are amusing, most fall flat, making this sequel something of a letdown.
— Team Indulge
Director: Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK
Cast: Govinda, Saif Ali Khan, Ileana D’Cruz
This film sees writer Yudi (Khan) trying to get back to his former creative self as he still rides high on a hit book in the past. Soon he runs out of money and is forced to work with Armaan (Govinda) on a Bollywood script. The rest of the plot is how Yudi teams up with romance writer Aanchal (D’Cruz) for a film. Average acting and a predictable plot makes this one a no-brainer entertainer.
Director: Shakti Soundar Rajan
Cast: Sibiraj, Idoh
Dog-centric crime-investigation films being a rarity on Tamil screen, this one is a welcome change. Idoh, a dog, sharing frames with Sibiraj, gets top billing in the credit list. And the canine deserves every bit of the attention, for it’s the show stealer here. It’s about a cop’s wife being kidnapped and the search for her by the hero and the canine. What holds the film together despite a second half that loses steam, is Idoh’s endearing antics and Sibiraj’s flattering makeover in his come-back role.
